BREATH
A research of the breath as a musical expression and means of communication
22 May 2018 - 31 May 2018

How do we breathe? How does it look, how does it sound? Which emotions does our breathing awake in us? What does our breathing do to others? Can we share the breath? How can we connect through the breath – sonically, bodily and on human level? These are several of the questions the artists wish to come closer in understanding.

An interdisciplinary research on the BREATH as a means of communication and music making for one performer and live electronics. The starting point has been the conceptual meeting point of the breath as both a movement, sound and a channel to connect. Working with an 8-channel set the artists explore how they can work with the breath as a sound source involving the audience.
