Spatial Audio Exhibition
The Spatial Audio Exhibition is the culmination of the Spatial Audio Workshops that have taken place at IAC during Autumn 2024.
The works are made for a 26.1 loudspeaker dome, as well as smaller speaker based systems, and binaural headphone reproduction. Some of the binaural works use NOUS Sonic, an interactive headphone based audio system installed in the Café, that allows users to control sounds through their physical movements around the café area.
Workshop participants have developed these pieces during three weeks of workshop content exploring various aspects of spatial audio creation, post-production and delivery techniques, such as ambisonics, binaural, Dolby Atmos, six degrees of freedom solutions, spatial convolution reverb techniques, speaker array calibration and more.
As such, the work exhibited represents a snapshot of some of the intense exploratory work done during these weeks. Come and hear for yourself!
