Axel Dörner – trumpet, Andreas Røysum – clarinet
Through 30 years of exploratory work, Axel Dörner has redefined what is possible to do on a trumpet. He moves freely and with clarity between jazz, abstract music, sound art and performance. From his countless projects, it is worth highlighting Monks Casino and The Contest of Pleasures, as well as his collaboration with Otomo Yoshidie, Mats Gustafsson and Barry Guy.
Andreas Røysum has in the recent years toured in a furious tempo. Among other things, he has frequently performed at Gallery 21 in Malmö, on his way to and from the continent. In addition to playing with Miman, Marthe Lea Band, Nakama and Andreas Røysum Ensemble, he has also played with Tristan Honsinger and Kresten Osgood, among others.
After playing several tours together, they have developed a common understanding of form, harmony, and alternative techniques. A guaranteed intimate and personal concert experience.
