The project has been running since January 2022. In workshops with Maj Hasager and Ask Kæreby, the Lund School of Culture's chamber orchestra has developed and refined its skills in listening to, capturing and recreating the sounds of the city. The result is a joint composition in which the other sounds of the region are explored and interpreted in interaction with the orchestra's acoustic instruments.

In June 2022, a performance of the composition took place in the paddling pool at Klostergården. The orchestra succeeded in interweaving fragments of real sounds from the environment with the instruments' interpretation of similar sounds in an organic and modern way, an expression that is far removed from traditional orchestral music. The public artwork ‘Listening to the city’ was developed together with the residents of Klostergården and in collaboration with the cultural school in Lund.

The dialogues with actress Karin Lithman will now be recorded, and the audio tour will be edited.
