Seminar, Tuesday 26 May at 3 pm in the red room.
Political drama in words and acts/ Politisk dramatik i ord och handling.

Discussions on the political possibilities of the drama text in matters of analyzing and problematising political symptoms as well as the utopian ones. How does some of the younger generation of dramaturgs consider the framing and embodiment of injustice, identity politics and representation. What kinds of stories do they want to perform?

Discussion, Saturday 30 May at 1-1.50 pm in the Red Room:
After the postdramatic theater – Where is the contemporary drama? / Efter den postdramatiska teatern – Var befinner sig den samtida dramatiken?

A conversation with the German dramaturg Maja Zade. From the basis of her experiences, first from Royal Court in London and then Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin, there will be a discussion on tendencies and the situation for newly written drama in a european perspective. What is the demands and expectations are on an actor? What does it mean to make your self available for the theater situation? How can the different roles of the private person and the actor and the character be used. What are they really taught at the academy?
