Broom as ice-skater
Anne Elisabeth Eckersberg
1 October 2018 - 31 January 2019

This project is an on-going investigation into how illusions of space and movement are constructed, today and throughout history, and how these constructions shape the way we understand reality.

These questions are investigated through the medium of animation and 3D-scanning, and by examining elements such as souvenirs, toys, landscape-gardens, architectural floorplans, impulse responses, foley sound, apostrophes, folly ruins, elliptical poetry, baroque machines, trompe l’oeils, theater scenography, film sets, and special effects.

“Broom as ice-skater” consists of several animated scenes, that will be installed in the Black Room at IAC.

The results of Anne Elisabeth Eckersbergs research will be presented on Friday, 18 January 2019, from 16 – 20.

Open 19 to 20 January, from 12 – 16.
