Three Scandinavian composers in residency
13 April 2016 - 18 April 2016

The experimental music scene has over the last years shown a growing interest in the link between music and identity.

KLANG – Copenhagen Avantgarde Music Festival (DK), Inter Arts Center (SE) and Uusinta Ensemble (FI) has engaged in a joint project investigating exactly that. We call it Nordlyd.

Central in the project is the creation of three original music pieces by the Scandinavian composers Mette Nielsen(DK), Ida Lunden(SE) and Hafdis Bjarnadottir (IS).

13-18 April the composers will visit Inter Arts Center where they will work together on their individual music. Sunday 17/4 16.00-18.00 the composers will discuss their pieces in a semi open circle. Artist, staff and others working at IAC at the time are invited to join to listen and discuss with the composers.

The pieces will be first performed by Uusinta Ensemble during KLANG – Festival 15/6 2016 20.00 in Copenhagen
