Of mist and clouds

‘Of mist and clouds’ is a work for transmitted voices developed during the Made Sound residency at IAC.

It takes the unstable and unpredictable reality of the rumor as its thematic starting point in order to develop a narrative that has the human voice as its key object. ‘Of mist and clouds’ will explore relational systems of interaction with particular emphasis on oral phenomena such as the rumor or gossip as modes of communication.

Further, the question of technology and the technologically enabled communication plays an important role: How can emergent vocal phenomena be translated architecturally and gain a spatial presence by means of electroacoustic transmission?

The work will be presented as a work-in-progress sound installation during the Transistor festival at the IAC.
